I am not really sure what I am going to be writing about. All I know is that I am starting to get bored and I need to find something to do, really quickly. The winter months are fast approaching, and I sense that boredom is not far behind.
You see, I declared myself "retired" in March, 2003. Yes - declared myself retired. My wife did, too, several years ago. Spring, summer and fall have gone pretty well, what with the main floor renovation that started in late May not getting completed until last month. Although we lived in the basement for the most part of the renovation, there was at least the sound of hammering and drilling and workers' voices and squeaky music coming from their tiny field radio tuned to an easy rock station all day long. Oh, and there was my futile attempt at becoming a better golfer. Between rounds of slicing the balls in the driving range on weekdays, and slicing the balls during real play on weekends, I kept myself somewhat busy.
Flips and Flops will hopefully be about my observations and random thoughts on things happening around me which, at this point, is centered mostly around the Filipino Community in the Greater Toronto Area. I do have activities outside of this realm that I may touch on from time to time, but these will also concern itself with things Filipino.
We will just have to see where this leads us...
